Tuesday, Jan. 16 Georgia College & State University’s Department of Music opens its spring semester at 7:30 p.m. with a Faculty Chamber Recital in Max Noah Recital Hall, featuring  Steven Taylor, cello, Rebecca Cooke, clarinet, and Hue Jang, piano.  They will perform “Élégie, Op. 24” by Gabriel Fauré,  Ludwig van Beethoven’s “The Cello Sonata No. 3 in A major, Op. 69”, as well as Johannes Brahms’ “Clarinet Trio in A Minor, Op. 114.”  This concert will also be livestreamed at www.facebook.com/GCMusicDepartment...

Max Noah Singers tours middle Georgia Georgia College’s Max Noah Singers will embark on their annual tour Sunday, Dec. 17, singing holiday songs in various cities in Georgia. They will finish with a homecoming performance in Milledgeville on Dec. 20. Five sets of songs, connected by poetry readings, include settings of traditional carols, Latin motets, and original compositions about the season.
