Rescheduled for Monday, Feb. 24 Georgia College & State University’s Department of Music presents a Faculty Recital, 7:30 p.m. in Max Noah Recital Hall, featuring Steven Taylor, cello; and Hue Jang, piano. They will perform classical and modern music by Franz Schubert and Dmitri Shostakovich. Schubert’s Sonata in A minor, “Arpeggione” was written for an experimental Viennese instrument, similar to a bowed guitar. Georgia College’s Max Noah Singers will embark on their annual tour Monday, Dec. 16, singing holiday songs in various cities in Georgia. They will finish with a homecoming performance in Milledgeville on Wednesday, Dec. 18.Five sets of songs, connected by poetry readings, include settings of traditional carols, Latin motets, and original compositions about the season.
