Due to a security vulnerability, PAWS access has currently been restricted to on-campus connectivity or off-campus through VPN only. While there has been no breach, USG ITS is taking immediate proactive measures.
This weekend, USG Information Technology Services will be taking Banner (PAWS) down beginning at 5 PM this afternoon (Friday) to install patches. This work is due to be completed no later than 7 AM Monday, August 1.
A notification will be posted on Unify when PAWS is once again available for on-campus/off-campus via VPN access. There will be a second round of patches next week, and deployment of those patches will then be scheduled. Off-campus access to PAWS will be restricted (except through VPN) until AFTER this second round of patches is deployed. More information will be released as it becomes available.
Faculty or staff who need access to PAWS off campus can request VPN access via the Serve Help Desk (478-445-7378) or serve@gcsu.edu.
