2024 and 2025 Staff Holiday Calendar Survey

GCSU Staff,



The Staff Holiday Calendar Committee, consisting of one representative from all five divisions, as well as a Payroll representative, and a Staff Council representative, is reviewing options for the 2024 and 2025 Staff Holiday calendar. There are 13 paid holidays provided to all benefit-eligible employees each year.

The committee would like your feedback on how to handle the following options for 2024 and 2025: 

• In 2024, these paid holidays do not include Friday, July 5. The committee would like your feedback on closing campus on July 5, 2024. 
• In 2024, these paid holidays do not include Tuesday, December 24. The committee would like your feedback on closing campus on December 24, 2024.
• In 2025, these paid holidays do not include Wednesday, December 24. The committee would like your feedback on closing campus on December 24, 2025.
• In 2026, the New Year holiday takes place on Thursday, January 1, 2026. The committee would like your feedback on closing campus on Friday, January 2, 2026.

The above mentioned campus closures would require all benefit-eligible employees to take vacation leave, uncompensated leave, or work an alternate schedule pre-approved by their supervisor.
