Foraging With Friends

Ever wondered about the plants you see on the trails? How to identify them? Are they edible? What uses do they have and what is the connection between flora and fauna?

Join us on April 29 from 9:00am – 12pm at Lake Laurel (GCSU’s East Campus) for a hike in the woods! We will explore native trees and other plants, and fungi, discover ways to find animals in the woods and look into some of the resources our woods can provide.

Participants will leave with a greater understanding of local flora and fauna, a booklet, and resources to help with Identification in the future. Participants should dress appropriately for the woods including comfortable walking shoes, bug spray, water, and sunscreen.
