Bobcat Business Builder Bootcamp Prepares Students to Pitch to Investors
In the Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship’s inaugural Bobcat Business Builder Bootcamp (B-Quad for short) Ward Risvold, Lecturer of Business Communications, took 10 aspiring student entrepreneurs and gave them a crash course in how to put together a business plan and a pitch that is good enough to get an investor to read it. From there, Hasitha Mahabaduge, Associate Professor of Physics, took our students on a tour to a campus laboratory to show them how to design and build a prototype with the technology available to them on campus, such as 3D printers.
Later this month, the Center will give these and all other GCSU students a chance to earn real money in our Venture Capital Challenge (VC-Squared). There, students will have 5 minutes to deliver their best investment pitch to our panel of judges, who will then have 5 minutes to grill these entrepreneurs Shark Tank style to see who we'll fund.
