GCSU names David J. Fraboni II as interim vice president for University Advancement

David “Dave” Fraboni II will join Georgia College & State University as interim vice president for University Advancement effective Monday, March 20 through December 31, 2023.  

Fraboni has over 35 years of higher education experience. He has served as vice president for University Advancement, executive director of the foundation and special assistant to the interim president at the University of West Georgia, as well as associate vice president for Development/ Constituent Programs at Georgia State University. Prior to those appointments, Fraboni held a variety of senior roles in advancement at universities in other states. 

Most recently, Fraboni held interim appointments at two institutions.

He also has worked in development positions at the University of Hartford (Connecticut), Emmanuel College (Massachusetts), Springfield College (Massachusetts), Utica College (New York), Hartwick College (New York), Baylor College of Dentistry (Texas), Austin College (Texas), and Washington College (Maryland).

Fraboni holds a bachelor of science degree in psychology from Springfield College in Massachusetts.

He has served with civic organizations including the Lions Club, Rotary and Chamber of Commerce. He and his wife, Linda, have two sons.
