SCAM EMAIL: Subject RA NEEDED URGENTLY!!!

Last night most everyone at GCSU received a scam email from a student account at GCSU with the Subject: "RA NEEDED URGENTLY!!!" 



The student account was compromised by an overseas hacker, who posed as a faculty member. This email is a scam, and IT is working to remediate the damage.



There were no URLs provided, but the hacker is asking people to call him. If you see the email in your Inbox, please do not call or text the number listed. Instead, simply delete the email.

And remember - NEVER provide your account credentials (your username and password) to ANYONE, not even if they indicate they are with IT or if you know the person!
