Notice of New and Revised USG Recruitment Policies - Information Sessions

The University System of Georgia (USG) System Office has drafted and posted a new Employee Recruitment policy and revised the General Criteria for Employment policy. Both went into effect July 1, 2023. Institutions have been given an initial deadline of Sept. 1, 2023, to implement changes. As a result, the Office of Human Resources, along with the Office of Inclusive Excellence (OIE), have been collaborating on recruitment process revisions and related changes. As we continue reviewing our current processes, we will reach out to those who have active searches or who have just begun the job posting process. Our goal is not to delay the process, only to ensure compliance.

We will host information sessions for hiring authorities/managers to share specific details regarding the new and revised policies. *Please note: If you are attending the Academic Affairs retreat, you will receive the information during that time and do not need to register for one of the sessions listed below. As the final recruitment process is completed and approved, training sessions will be made available, and dates will be published.
