Now open: Small-Group Instructional Diagnosis (SGID) requests

Now open: Small-Group Instructional Diagnosis (SGID) requests

The SGID's goal is to provide faculty with important feedback that helps them adjust their teaching and improve student learning outcomes. It also allows faculty to reflect on and document critical teaching behaviors. This process, vetted in research, supports the continuous quality improvement of teaching and learning and shows our continued commitment to creating innovative learning environments, high-impact pedagogies, and meaningful student-faculty interaction at Georgia College & State University. After completion, the requestor will receive a letter from the Center for Teaching and Learning certifying participation; however, the results are confidential. For fall 2023, SGID opens Sept. 25 and subsequently closes Oct. 13. Please submit your requests at least seven (7) days before the first date you want the observer to come to your class. If you are interested in scheduling an SGID for the Spring 2023 semester, please submit a completed form found at https://app.smartsheet.com/b/form/68e2c53560104596a575bcef79a62770.

You can also contact the Center for Teaching and Learning at ctl@gcsu.edu or by phone at 478-445-2520 for more details about the process, scheduling or general inquiries.
