New wireless network SSIDs for campus - beginning 10/2/2023

Information Technology will phase in new wireless networks to the Georgia College & State University campus. The new networks will start and coincide with the current networks on Oct. 2, 2023. Please begin to use the new networks as soon as possible to get accustomed to them. The final day of the GC_Secure and GC_Guest networks will be Oct. 31, 2023. 

Below are the wireless networks you will find at Georgia College & State University and what each one is for. Should you have any questions please look at https://gcsu.edu/wireless or submit a ticket at https://AskIT.gcsu.edu

Bobcats

For faculty/staff/students using their GCSU credentials to log in to gain internet access. Used on devices such as laptops, phones and tablets.

Bobcat Devices

For connecting devices that don't support user authentication, including gaming consoles and streaming devices (Roku, Apple TV, Firestick). Must register the device's wireless MAC address on https://mydevices.gcsu.edu. Visit https://gcsu.edu/wireless for more information.

Bobcat Guests

For guests on campus that don't have a GCSU account. Creates a temporary account for limited time access. Not for students who have a GCSU account.

eduroam

For visiting faculty/staff/students who attend another participating eduroam university. Not for students who have a GCSU account.
