Avoid MAC OS upgrade to Sonoma

At this time, please avoid upgrading any GCSU MAC computers to the latest MAC OS Sonoma released earlier this week. We also advise to exercise caution before upgrading your personal devices. The upgrade has compatibility concerns and could make your device unstable or unusable. We will continue to test the Sonoma OS upgrade and will let the campus know when we feel it is safe to download.

In addition, there are growing security concerns surrounding vulnerabilities with the new Apple iOS and watchOS. If you have an iPhone or iWatch, please ensure you are installing all security patches recommended by Apple. As with any mobile device, Apple or Android, please use all security precautions when using passwords or other sensitive/confidential information on these devices.
