Open Enrollment: Oct. 23-Nov. 3

Open Enrollment: Oct. 23-Nov. 3

Open Enrollment will take place Oct. 23 - Nov. 3, 2023. There will be some changes to the copayments, coinsurance, deductibles and out-of-pocket maximums across all four USG healthcare plans in 2024. Details can be found at the USG Benefits website, or employees can register to attend a presentation, virtual and in-person options available, with GCSU's Benefits Team; these presentations typically last approximately 30 minutes.

GCSU Benefits will be set up in Library 302 during Open Enrollment to offer assistance with enrollment and/or to answer employee questions on the following dates from 11:00 AM - 1:00 PM:

  • Monday, Oct. 23
  • Wednesday, Oct. 25
  • Friday, Oct. 27
  • Tuesday, Oct. 31
  • Thursday, Nov. 2

Employees may also schedule an appointment to come to the Wooten-Garner House conference room for assistance on Friday, November 3 if none of the above dates/times coordinate with your availability.

This year is considered an active open enrollment, meaning that employees who take health insurance must login to answer all applicable certification questions (tobacco and working spouse). Failure to answer all certification questions will result in all applicable surcharges being added to the employee's monthly premiums. This could range from $150/month - $600/month! Please login to answer these certification questions to prevent any mishaps from occurring!

Open Enrollment is also a time that all employees are encouraged to review beneficiary information for basic life insurance offered by the USG, supplemental life insurance (if elected), HSA account (if elected), mandatory retirement (TRS or ORP) and/or supplemental retirement accounts (403b & 457b).

Beginning Oct. 23, employees can make elections for calendar year 2024 by visiting oneusgconnect.usg.edu and clicking on Manage My Benefits, or by calling the OneUSG Connect Benefits Call Center at 1-844-587-4236.
