Guest Artist Recital: Marcel Ramalho, baritone and Martin David Jones, piano

Tuesday, Nov. 7 Georgia College & State University will hold its “Voice and Piano Recital” with guest artists baritone Marcel Ramalho and pianist Martin David Jones at 7:30 p.m. in Max Noah Recital Hall. Ramalho is a professor of voice and Jones is a music professor at Augusta University. Their program encompasses opera arias and art songs from the Baroque period through the 21st century. Compositions represent different cultures sung in Brazilian Portuguese, Greek, Italian, French, German and English, including a new arrangement by Jones with a poem by Clara Park. The recital’s mood reflects many facets of the human condition—some lighthearted, loving, religious and others darker. This concert will also be livestreamed at www.facebook.com/GCMusicDepartment.
