"Groove Thang" (by Zhane): Course Quality Certification Groove

Are you feeling groovy and want your updated seventh edition certification through Quality Matters (QM)? And wouldn't you like to improve the quality of materials you deliver to students in our learning management system? If so, the Center for Teaching and Learning allows you to register for Quality Matters (QM) training, and we're offering this six-hour course during the week of Oct. 30 through Nov. 3 to enable you to come for two (2) separate three-hour virtual sessions from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. (EST). You will have the flexibility to start the first part of the workshop on Monday or Tuesday and finish on either Wednesday or Thursday with an embedded makeup Friday replay day, if needed. And with the new updated seventh edition concepts just released in July 2023, you will be among the first to get information on the structural changes to the rubric to meet the ever-changing demands of course quality.

In this workshop, participants will identify the critical elements of quality assurance of online courses, including the materials and process; apply the concept of alignment, ensuring course components work together to help learners achieve desired learning goals; learn about the factors that impact course quality and explore the structural elements of online courses to include: the overview and introduction, learning objectives, course technology, learner support, and accessibility. And you will learn about what's new in the seventh edition. Upon completing the QM training, you will receive a certificate from Quality Matters, verifying your readiness to develop a quality online course with quality course materials and resources.

Nationally recognized Quality Matters is the global organization leading quality assurance in online and innovative digital teaching and learning environments. It provides a scalable quality assurance system for online and blended learning within and across organizations. QM designed the professional development to help educators deliver the promise of quality online learning opportunities to every level of learning.
