One-time supplemental payment

On Dec. 18, 2023, Governor Kemp and legislative leadership announced a one-time, $1,000 state employee retention pay supplement for K-12 educators, school support staff and state employees including the University System of Georgia (USG). Faculty and staff eligible for the supplement are those in a regular, benefits-eligible status working 30 or more standard hours as of Dec. 1, 2023, and are actively employed at the time the payment is processed.

This supplemental retention payment will be paid on the last business day of December for all eligible employees.

We are grateful to the Governor and legislative leadership for including the USG employees in this initiative, and Georgia College & State University's HR and Payroll are working now to review and validate payroll data to process these payments.
