Important Leadership Update: Department of Management, Marketing and LogisticsĀ 

After an exhaustive and national search, we are thrilled to announce that Dr. Scott Manley will join the J. Whitney Bunting College of Business & Technology on July 1, 2024 as chair of the Department of Management, Marketing and Logistics (MML) and professor of Management. As chair of one of the largest academic departments on campus, Dr. Manley will lead more than 20 faculty, over 1,000 students, and multiple degree programs. From strategic planning and curricula innovation, Dr. Manley will have a unique opportunity to work alongside the CoBT Dean, the faculty, external stakeholders, and other campus leaders to further advance student success inside and outside of the classroom.

Dr. Manley is currently the Lalani professor of Entrepreneurship & Free Enterprise at Midwestern State University, which has AACSB accreditation, is a public liberal arts university, and is a COPLAC member institution. He serves as the director of the Munir Abdul Lalani Center for Entrepreneurship and Free Enterprise and as chair of the Management & Marketing Department in their Dillard College of Business Administration. Before joining academia in 2011, he served as a consultant with America's Small Business Development Center (SBDC) Network for 12 years. Dr. Manley received his BBA and MBA from Valdosta State University and his Doctorate of Business Administration from Kennesaw State University. His research has been published in the International Journal of Entrepreneurship and Management, the European Management Journal, the Journal of Small Business Strategy, the American Journal of Entrepreneurship, the Journal of Ethics and Entrepreneurship, The TQM Journal and the Journal of Business Ethics. Dr. Manley is a member of the Academy of Management and the United States Association for Small Business and Entrepreneurship (USASBE).
