Certificated professional development opportunity: Quality Matters' Designing Your Online Course (DYOC)

Are you an instructor interested in creating high-quality online courses? If so, look no further than the Quality Matters' (QM) Designing Your Online Course (DYOC) workshop. This workshop provides research-based best practices for online course design, following QM's rigorous standards and rubric.

In this workshop, you'll explore:

*How to design learner-centered courses that engage students

*Techniques for clear organization and navigation

*Tips for effective communication and collaboration

*Best practices for assessment and giving feedback

*Strategies for ensuring accessibility and universal design

The course is hosted on the following dates and times:    

  • Feb. 9 from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m.
  • Feb. 16 from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m.
  • Feb. 23 from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m.

To register, follow these steps:  

  1. Visit https://www.qmprogram.org/myqm/ to log in or create an account. You can create an account by selecting "No, I am new here."  Since you must have a Georgia College & State University or University System of Georgia account to register. Please use your GCSU credentials if you are establishing your account for the first time.    
  2. Navigate to select the "Workshop - Register" menu.
  3. Select the "Dedicated Training" link. 
  4. Locate the correct session: Course Code: 020924_INDDYOC_157078_Board o-29006. Course Name: Independent Designing Your Online Course (DYOC): (Statewide Systems).
  5. Select the "Register" link and follow the steps to register.
