Accounting students offering free Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) through United Way partnership

Georgia College & State University's Department of Accounting and Business Law is partnering with the United Way of Central Georgia to provide free tax return preparation services. These services are for qualified taxpayers in the Milledgeville area.

The IRS Volunteer Income Tax Assistance Program (VITA) is provided to the community by undergraduate and graduate accounting students and overseen by accounting instructors. This initiative offers the broader community a valuable service while also providing students with both real-world experience and the opportunity to give back to Milledgeville and Baldwin County.

Services are offered from Feb. 5 to February 28, 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Mondays and Wednesdays in Atkinson Hall, room 110.

To register, call 478-388-1956 or visit the VITA scheduling website for Central Georgia.
