2024 Honors Giving Challenge: New Orleans Program
2024 Honors Giving Challenge: New Orleans Program
Next week—from April 10 to 12—the Honors College will launch the public phase of its 2024 Giving Challenge. The Honors College is raising funds to underwrite the cost of a fall break trip to New Orleans for up to 40 Honors students, including those in Dr. Brian Newsome’s Honors course on World War II. Students will explore the French Quarter and visit both the World War II Museum and the Whitney Plantation.
Thanks to the generous support of the Honors Advisory Board and a matching gift by `89 alumnus Dr. Roger Best, we are well on our way to reaching our goal. Please share this initiative and the giving opportunity in your networks and on your social media platforms. If each of you would spread the word to just five people, then we could easily complete the campaign by raising the last $4,000 through the spring Giving Challenge. It officially opens on April 10, but the website is active and anyone who would like to go ahead and give is certainly welcome to do so.
