On Feb. 21-22, eighteen GCSU Honors students participated in the Georgia Collegiate Honors Conference at Georgia Tech. They all did an excellent job presenting their scholarship! Dr. Kasey Karen will discuss the work of Drs. Victor Ambros and Gary Ruvkun, who were awarded the 2024 Nobel Prize in Physiology/Medicine for the discovery of microRNA and its role in post-transcriptional gene regulation. This event is open to all students. Over the recent fall break, from Oct. 12 to Oct. 15, the Honors College took more than 40 students to New Orleans, where they visited the World War II Museum and the Whitney Plantation and toured the French Quarter.
