Bobcats earn No. 4 seed at Peach Belt Conference Women's Tennis Tournament
AUGUSTA, Ga. | Georgia College & State University has earned the No. 4 seed in the 2024 Peach Belt Conference Women's Tennis Tournament that will be held in Columbus, Georgia, this weekend.
The No. 46-ranked Bobcats (11-10 overall, 3-3 PBC) earned the fourth seed and will face No. 5 seed Augusta University (11-6, 2-4) in a 9 a.m. first round match Friday (April 26) at the John W. Walden Tennis Center. GCSU defeated the Jaguars 6-1 earlier this month in Augusta.
The winner of the GCSU-Augusta match will face the top seed University of North Georgia, which is ranked No. 3 nationally, in Saturday's (April 27) 10 a.m. semifinal match.
The championship match of the single-elimination tournament will be at 10 a.m. Sunday (April 28).
The winner of the PBC Tournament will earn the conference's automatic berth for the NCAA Division II Women's Tennis Tournament.
