Cost-of-Living Adjustment (COLA) for Fiscal Year 2025

Cost-of-Living Adjustment (COLA) for Fiscal Year 2025

With Governor Kemp signing the FY25 state budget, we are grateful to him and the General Assembly for including the University System of Georgia personnel as part of a 4% Cost of Living Adjustment (COLA), capped at $3,000, for state employees.

For University System of Georgia (USG) Institutions, eligibility includes all full-time, regular, benefits-eligible USG employees working 30 standard hours per week or more who are actively employed on July 1, 2024 - when the COLA will go into effect. Part-time regular employees working less than 30 hours, as well as temporary employees are not eligible for the adjustment.

We appreciate the Governor and the legislative leadership for including us in the funding for this initiative.

The GCSU Human Resources, Payroll Services and Budget teams are working now to review and validate payroll data to process these salary adjustments. As with previous COLAs, these adjustments greatly contribute to our efforts to maintain competitive wages for our workforce, and we are thankful for all that you do on behalf of USG and GCSU.
