Two Bobcats named to CSC Academic All-District® team 

AUSTIN, Texas | Georgia College & State University had two student-athletes - Rodrigo Pérez Crespo and Enzo Sergi  - named to the College Sports Communicators NCAA Division II Men's Tennis Academic All-District® Team. 

To be nominated, a student-athlete must be at least a sophomore with a 3.50 cumulative grade point average and must have been in the lineup for 70 percent of the total matches played by the team that included a team score.

Crespo, a sophomore from Ourense, Spain, has recorded a 3.59 cumulative grade-point average as a marketing major. Crespo has recorded nine wins in singles and eight more in doubles in his career. He has also been named to the Peach Belt Conference Presidential Honor Roll and named an Intercollegiate Tennis Association Scholar Athlete in his career.

Sergi, a senior from Nice, France, has a 3.56 cumulative GPA as a management major. In his career, Sergi has recorded 18 wins in doubles and 16 more in singles. Sergi has been named an ITA Scholar-Athlete, the PBC Men's Tennis Team of Academic Distinction, the PBC Presidential Honor Roll and received the D2 ADA Academic Achievement Award. He was also named to the CSC Academic All-District® Team in 2023.

The Bobcats, who were ranked as high as No. 49 by the ITA, finished their 2023 season with a 4-15 ledger and advanced to the Peach Belt Tournament.

The Division II CSC Academic All-America® program is partially financially supported by the NCAA Division II national governance structure to assist CSC with handling the awards fulfillment aspects of the 2023-24 program.
