Chief Wes Hardin Completes Prestigious Northwestern University Program
Georgia College Chief of Police Wesley Hardin graduated from Northwestern University's Center for Public Safety, successfully completing the Staff and Command program over a 22-week period.
The Northwestern University School of Police Staff and Command Center for Public Safety implemented the program in 1983. More than 21,000 students, both nationally and internationally, have graduated from the Staff and Command program.
The School of Police Staff and Command provides upper-level college instruction in a total of twenty-seven core blocks of instruction during each session. Major topics of study include Leadership, Human Resources, Employee Relations, Organizational Behavior, Planning and Policy Development, Budgeting and Resource Allocation. Students complete an academically rigorous curriculum and earn a total of six undergraduate credits from Northwestern University in Evanston, Illinois.
Chief Hardin joined the Georgia College Department of Public Safety December 1, 2023 as Director of Public Safety and Chief of Police. Hardin previously served as Chief of Police at Tallahassee Community College, as well as serving for more that 13 years as a school resource officer for Gwinnett County Public Schools.
