Parts of Greene Street will be closed this Friday, Aug. 23, from 2 p.m. until 12 a.m. for the Welcome Back Block Party. Greene Street will be closed starting at Columbia Street and extending to Tattnall Street. To prepare for the road closure, all vehicles in this area need to be moved by 2 p.m. this Friday, Aug. 23. All vehicles left parked in this area will be subject to being towed.

On Friday, August 2, Major Brian Freese was sworn in as Deputy Chief of Police for Georgia College Department of Public Safety.
