Brian Freese Sworn in as Deputy Chief of Police

On Friday, August 2, Major Brian Freese was sworn in as Deputy Chief of Police for Georgia College Department of Public Safety. Major Freese took the oath of office from Chief of Police Wes Hardin, at left, on the front porch of Hall House.

Freese is an alumnus of the College of Charleston and Mississippi State University. Prior to joining GCSU, Freese spent more than 18 years at the University of Georgia. Most recently Freese served Athens-Clarke County in the Clarke County Sheriff's Office. Freese also previously served as a police officer for the City of Winterville, Georgia.
