GCSU picked to finish fourth in Peach Belt 

AUGUSTA, Ga. | The Peach Belt Conference preseason coaches poll for women's cross country has been released.
 
Georgia College & State University has been picked to finish fourth in the league.
 
Flagler College was the top pick in the women's poll as they collected nine first-place votes and 81 points, while Augusta University is second with 71. The University of North Georgia is third place with 60 points and was followed by Georgia College (56), Columbus State University (48), Clayton State University (41), University of South Carolina-Aiken (38), Lander University (25), University of South Carolina-Beaufort (20) and Georgia Southwestern State University (10).
 
Flagler has won the last six Peach Belt titles. GCSU returns seven runners from last year's fourth-place squad at the PBC meet.
 
The 2024 PBC Championship will be hosted by North Georgia Oct. 26 at its UNG Cross Country Course located in Oakwood, Georgia.
 
The Bobcats open the season Sept. 6 with two meets. GCSU will compete at the Eye Opener hosted by the University of South Carolina Upstate in Spartanburg, South Carolina. The Bobcats will also compete at the GMC Brickyard Invitational hosted by Georgia Military College at the Council Farms Cross Country Course.
