Georgia Court of Appeals Appellate Arguments | Sept. 18 at 10:30 a.m.

We are honored to host the Georgia Court of Appeals on our campus on Wednesday, Sept. 18 – something that does not happen often, as the court customarily holds its arguments in the Nathan Deal Justice Center Building in downtown Atlanta adjacent to the State Capitol.

Beginning at 10:30 a.m. in Magnolia Ballroom, appellate arguments in three cases will be heard for 30 minutes each for a total of 90 minutes. After the hearings conclude, a Q&A session for students will begin where you will have an opportunity to ask the judges questions pertaining to their career paths, the process of hearing cases, how court works, etc. (The judges will not discuss the cases that have just been heard.) Breaks will take place between each session, giving you the ability to come and go as you please and as your classes allow.

I hope you will join me for an interesting morning of hearings and a unique opportunity to see the law in action!
