GCSU International TESOL Program - Teach English in South Korea
Spend a month in South Korea and get certified in Teaching English as a Foreign Language! This brand-new GCSU program comprises an eight-week summer course designed to train students in secondary language education, with a focus on non-native speakers of English, including international students within the United States and English learners abroad.
The course will consist of four weeks of study abroad through the International TEFL Academy, an organization that specializes in TEFL/TESOL Certification, followed by four weeks of online study upon return to the United States.

- Taekwondo Martial Arts Class
- Korean Language Classes
- Korean Cooking Class
- Visit to Korean War Memorial
- Grand Palace Tour and Hanbok Experience
To learn more, please attend the Breakout Information Session hosted in the Pat Peterson Museum Education Room on Wednesday, Sept. 25, 2024, at 10 a.m. The Pat Peterson Education Room is located in the Russell Library. Please enter through the Clarke Street Entrance. The room is located next to Heritage Hall.
This program is open to all majors and any students who have completed ENGL: 1101 and ENGL: 1102 by Summer 2025.
