Reminder: GeorgiaVIEW/D2L layout changes coming soon

The Center for Teaching & Learning is excited to announce the upcoming release of newly updated homepage layouts, for both the main system homepage and course homepage, in GeorgiaVIEW/D2L. The course homepage has been designed using feedback from a recent needs analysis of Georgia College & State University faculty, staff and students, as well as feedback from faculty and students who have piloted this updated layout during the past year.

The following updates will be made to the course homepage:

• The updated course Navbar will now include more direct links to often-used tools within the LMS, including Assignments and Content.
• On the updated course homepage, the Content browser and Library Resources widget will now be located on the left side of the page, while the Announcements and Calendar widgets will be located to their right.

A preview of the updated course homepage and main system homepage is attached for you to review. Please note, some courses may have modified homepages that do not match this layout.

This update will occur Dec. 18, 2024, at approximately 10 a.m. The default course layout will be updated for all courses in the learning management system, including future, current and past courses that are using the default template.
