Warren named PBC Player of the Week
AUGUSTA, Ga. | Georgia College & State University's Jada Warren has been named the Peach Belt Conference Women's Basketball Player of the Week ending Feb. 9.
Warren, a 6-foot-1 senior forward from Norcross, Georgia, helped lead the Bobcats to a pair of wins last week, averaging 16.0 rebounds per game.
Warren collected 14 rebounds in 30 minutes as GCSU defeated fifth-ranked University of North Georgia on the road before adding 18 boards in a home win over Flagler College. Warren became the Bobcats' all-time leading rebounder against the Saints. Her 1,014 career rebounds currently ranked seventh in the PBC record book. Warren ranks first in NCAA Division II statistics in total rebounds (309) and rebounds per game (14.0).
The Bobcats return to the court Wednesday (Feb. 12) when they host the University of South Carolina-Beaufort in a 5:30 p.m. PBC contest inside the Centennial Center.
