Wilson tabbed PBC Pitcher of the Week
AUGUSTA, Ga. | Georgia College & State University baseball player Bradley Wilson has been named the Pitcher of the Week by the Peach Belt Conference.
It is the second consecutive week that a Bobcat hurler has been named the league's Pitcher of the Week.
The senior right-handed pitcher from Irwinton, Georgia, pitched seven shutout innings in the series finale Saturday (Feb. 15) afternoon against Lynn University. Wilson did not get a decision in the game, but allowed only two hits and two walks while striking out six. He set down the side in order three times and retired nine batters in a row at one point. Wilson only allowed one Lynn baserunner to made it to second base. Wilson leads the team in strikeouts (12) and is second in innings pitched (15.1).
The 13th-ranked Bobcats return to action Tuesday (Feb. 18) with a 2 p.m. contest in Due West, South Carolina, against Erskine College.
