Hannah Cail named to All-Peach Belt second team
AUGUSTA, Ga. | Georgia College & State University Women's Basketball player Hannah Cail has been named to the All-Peach Belt Conference second team.
It is the second consecutive year that the sophomore guard from Savannah, Georgia, has earned all-league accolades as she was named to the third team last season.
Cail, who has started all 29 games this season for the Bobcats, is tied for the scoring lead for GCSU at 12.5 points per game and is first in minutes played per game (27.7). She is second on the squad in field goals made (132), three-point field goals made (45), free throws made (53), assists (47) and steals (19).
Cail will lead the No. 4-seeded Bobcats into the semifinals of the Peach Belt Tournament for the first time since 2018 when they face No. 1 seed University of North Georgia at 1 p.m. Saturday (March 8) in Dahlonega, Georgia. GCSU and North Georgia, which are ranked No. 7 nationally, split its two meetings this season, with each winning on the other's homecourt.
