Student rehire process for summer/fall 2025 

It's time to start the student worker rehire process for summer and fall 2025! HR has updated the requirements for student versus casual labor, which will financially benefit your student workers.

This process is for rehiring students for summer work and/or returning in the fall. Managers can rehire graduate assistants for summer only through this process. The fall rehire process for graduate assistants is separate.

Note: This rehire process does not apply to Federal Work Study students. To rehire a Federal Work Study student, please contact Takeya Miller at takeya.miller@gcsu.edu in Financial Aid to confirm eligibility and initiate the rehire process. No further action for Federal Work Study students can be completed through this process.

HR has scheduled virtual training sessions to provide an overview of the rehire process and answer any questions. One of the sessions will be recorded and made available at HR Student Hiring for later viewing. 

Training opportunities:

• Friday, March 14 at 2 p.m.
• Monday, March 17 at 10 a.m.
• Thursday, March 20 at 4 p.m.
