Tiffany Caban named PBC Pitcher of the Week 

AUGUSTA, Ga. | Georgia College & State University softball player Tiffany Caban has been named the Pitcher of the Week by the Peach Belt Conference.

The sophomore right-handed pitcher from Evans, Georgia, pitched seven shutout innings in a complete-game effort Saturday (March 22) in game two of the weekend series against Lander University that the Bobcats won 3-0. She walked two and struck out nine as she improved to 7-2 on the season. Caban retired the side in order twice and only one runner made it to second base. Caban leads the league in opponent batting average (.186) and is second in strikeouts (87) and tied for seventh in wins (7).

The Bobcats return to action Tuesday, March 25, with a 3 p.m. doubleheader in Tigerville, South Carolina, where they will face North Greenville University.
