Trio earns All-Peach Belt nods 

AUGUSTA, Ga. | Georgia College & State University men's tennis players Rodrigo Pérez Crespo, Chase Martin and Luka Sauer Jimenez have been named to the All-Peach Belt Conference team.

Crespo and Martin were named to the first team in doubles and to the second team in singles, while Jimenez was named to the second team in singles. It is the first All-PBC honors for all three players,

Crespo, a junior from Ourense, Spain, and Martin, a junior from Tampa, Florida, went 11-4 in doubles this season as they were the No. 1 doubles team for the Bobcats.  Crespo posted a 14-9 record in singles, including a 12-4 ledger at No. 2 for the Bobcats. Martin went 10-6 in singles - all at the No. 1 flight.  Jimenez, who is a junior from Nyon, Switzerland, record a 16-7 mark in singles during the season, including a 10-4 resume at No. 3 singles.

GCSU, which is No. 31 nationally by the ITA and ranked fourth in the latest NCAA Division II regional rankings, returns to action this weekend at the PBC Tournament in Columbus, Georgia. The Bobcats, who are seeded fifth, will face No. 4 seed Lander Friday (April 25) at 9 a.m. in the first round of the single-elimination tournament.
