Guest Artist and Faculty Recital: Samuel Gingher & Hue Jang, piano

Monday, Feb. 9 A Guest Artist and Faculty Recital, titled, “Beyond the Canon” will be held at 7:30 p.m. in Max Noah Recital Hall at Georgia College & State University. Featuring guest artist Samuel Gingher and faculty member Hue Jang, both pianists, the recital includes works by James Baptist Cramer, Carl Czerny and Franz Liszt. A central theme of this program is rediscovery: much of this music is rarely performed today, despite the composers' stature in the 19th century.  It includes solo music by our guest artist and a 4 hand piano duet by both pianists. This concert will also be livestreamed at www.facebook.com/GCMusicDepartment.  A $5 donation is encouraged. Online donations can be made at give.gcsu.edu/g/department-of-music/. All proceeds benefit music scholarships or the GCSU Department of Music through GCSU Foundation, Inc.
