GCSU transition to Centralized Payroll Processing

GCSU transition to Centralized Payroll Processing

Managers and employees,

We are excited to inform you about an important transition regarding Georgia College & State University’s payroll processing services. Currently, payroll processing is performed by a combination of GCSU’s Payroll and Human Resources staff, as well as the USG Shared Services Center. Over the remaining fiscal year, the University System is migrating all institutional payroll processing to the USG Shared Services Center, a process commonly referred to as Centralized Payroll Processing.

This transition will enhance efficiency in payroll transactions and provide a broader range of services to our employees. We are part of the fourth cohort and will join many of our sister institutions, including Gordon State, Clayton State and Georgia Southern, all of which have successfully implemented CPP.

Employees and managers should not notice changes while completing their usual transactions, such as entering and approving time or leave. The current system and log-in will remain the same. However, the look of notifications and due dates will be different. SSC will manage communications concerning due dates and other important matters. It will be essential to pay attention to any requests for action to ensure a smooth process. Key information about this transition is as follows:

  • What to Expect: The USG Shared Services Center will manage all payroll-related functions, including 24-hour support, communications and processing. SSC will also respond to first-level Human Resources inquiries. After we transition, any payroll questions should be addressed to support@usg.edu or (877) 251-2644.

  • Managers Only: As part of this transition, we will begin to use additional features of Manager Self-Service on the OneUSG platform. More information about this specific training will be provided.

  • Timeline: Our transition will go live on July 1, 2025. At that time, all inquiries will be directed to the USG Shared Services Center.

  • Training and Support: SSC will facilitate informational sessions on June 9 at 3 p.m. and again on June 30 at 10 a.m. for all managers via TEAMS, with Q&A sessions afterwards. Please plan to attend one of these overview sessions, but if you are unable to attend, the sessions will be recorded.

We appreciate your cooperation and understanding as we work towards a seamless transition for everyone. Thank you for your support!
