Instructor Peer Coaching: Stipend opportunity

Instructor Peer Coaching: Stipend opportunity

Instructor Peer Coaching returns this fall with a fresh opportunity for cross-disciplinary collaboration and growth. IPC pairs instructors from different departments or colleges to engage in meaningful, supportive coaching relationships that aim to improve teaching practices and promote professional development.

Each coaching cycle includes setting goals, developing and implementing an action plan and engaging in reflective review. The Center for Teaching and Learning will provide training and support throughout the process to ensure a successful peer coaching experience.

Participants will receive $125 in professional development funds at the end of each semester (December and May) for their engagement in the program.

Here are reflections from past participants:

“The IPC process gave me space to reflect on my teaching and try out new strategies with confidence. Having a peer observe my class helped me view my instruction through a fresh lens.”

“I walked away with new, practical techniques to keep students engaged and on task. Observing a colleague’s class helped me see how intentional structure and variety can support student success.”

“Through IPC, I gained insight into teaching practices beyond my own discipline. I saw creative ways to boost student participation — even in large lecture settings — and returned to my own classroom feeling energized.”
