Bobcats picked to finish fifth in Peach Belt Conference 

AUGUSTA, Ga. | The Peach Belt Conference preseason coaches poll for women's soccer has been released.
 
Georgia College & State University has been picked to finish fifth in the league.
 
Columbus State University, which finished won the PBC regular-season and tournament titles in 2024, was the top pick in the poll as they collected eight first-place votes and 97 points, while the University of North Georgia collected two first-place votes and was second with 90 points. Flagler College is in  third place with 86 points and was followed by Lander University (69), GCSU (63), Clayton State University (56), Georgia Southwestern State University (45), University of South Carolina-Beaufort (37), University of South Carolina-Aiken (27), Middle Georgia State University (22) and Albany State University (10). 
 
The Bobcats, who return 17 players from last year's 9-7-3 squad that finished in fourth place in the Peach Belt and advanced to the semifinals in the conference tournament for the first time since 2018, open the 2025 campaign in Belmont, North Carolina, Sept. 4 when they face Belmont Abbey College in a 4:30 p.m. match at Alumni Field. GCSU will open its home schedule at the Bobcat Soccer Field Sept. 9 when they will entertain Delta State University in a 1 p.m. non-conference match.
