Secure your vehicle and belongings

Secure your vehicle and belongings

Dear Bobcats,

As part of our ongoing commitment to campus safety, we want to remind everyone of the importance of securing your vehicle and belongings while on campus. A few simple steps can greatly reduce the risk of theft or unwanted incidents:

  • Always lock your vehicle before leaving it unattended.
  • Remove valuables such as laptops, phones, wallets or backpacks. If you cannot remove them, store them out of sight in the trunk or glove compartment.
  • Avoid leaving bags, shopping items or electronics in plain view, even if they seem of little value.
  • Park in well-lit areas whenever possible.
  • Be aware of your surroundings and report any suspicious behavior immediately to Public Safety.

Taking these precautions helps keep your personal property secure and supports a safer campus environment for everyone.

If you see something concerning, please don’t hesitate to contact the Georgia College & State University Department of Public Safety at 478-445-4400 or 478-445-4054 or through the RAVE GUARDIAN APP.

Thank you for doing your part to keep Georgia College a safe and welcoming community.
