Death After Dark is a specialty tour at Georgia's Old Governor's Mansion that focuses on the deathways of the 19th century. Deathways include the causes of death, autopsies, embalming, caretakers of the dead, mourning practices, cemeteries, and even grave robbing. Additionally, this tour emphasizes the inequalities that existed in relation to death in this time period, which varied considerably depending upon a person’s race, gender, social class, and age.
