"Land Use & Zoning": Zoom session with Distinguished GCSU Alumnus with Cameron Kline
This semester, the John E. Sallstrom Honors College is pleased to host a Zoom-based session featuring distinguished GCSU alumnus Cameron Kline on November 4 at 6:00 PM. Faculty, staff, students, alumni, and friends of the Honors College are all welcome to attend. The title of Mr. Kline's presentation is "Land Use & Zoning: An Examination of the Local Government Process in Georgia." Local governments handle many things that are critical to people's everyday lives, but few are as “hot button” as local development and land use. In fact, large development projects generally drive the most engagement from citizens because the land use/zoning process in Georgia affords citizens the opportunity to interact directly with their local elected officials. In this discussion, participants will delve into the local government legislative process with an emphasis on land use and zoning by examining the structures of local governments in Georgia and the process by which proposed developments are considered by local governments.
Please use the embedded link or the QR code in the accompanying flier to register and we will send you the Zoom link as well as a timely reminder. All are welcome!
