GCSU Teacher Education professors and students present at Georgia Council for the Social Studies
Two Georgia College & State University Teacher Education colleagues (Drs. Andrea Christoff and Russ Merritt) presented with students at the Georgia Council for the Social Studies on Oct. 24.
Dr. Andrea Christoff and LaPortia Mosley presented "Building Partnerships to Teach Challenging Histories.”
Christoff's co-presenter, LaPortia Mosley, is the Community Engagement Officer for the Georgia Historical Society. The Georgia College senior middle grades students who also presented were:

Merritt and Stephanie Chipley presented "More Than the Salt March: Using the Four Question Method to Help Students Think Critically about Gandhi and the Modern World."
(Chipley will graduate in December, MAT Secondary.)
Merritt is also presenting at South Carolina Council for Social Studies in November: "King Killers and Witch Burners: Teaching About Puritans and Other Religious People."
