Fagerstrom, Duque and Mason headline All-Peach Belt team for Bobcats

AUGUSTA, Ga. | Kaisa Fagerstrom headlines the Georgia College & State University selections to the 2025 All-Peach Belt Conference Women's Soccer Teams.

Fagerstrom was named the league's Freshman of the Year and named to the All-PBC first team, while Adriana Duque and Sarah Mason were selected to the second team.

Fagerstrom, a 5-foot-8 freshman defender from Espoo, Finland, became the first-ever Bobcat to be selected as the league's Freshman of the Year in the 25-year history of women's soccer history and only the second GCSU women's soccer player to earn one of the Peach Belt's major awards. Amanda Bartholomew was selected as the PBC Player of the Year in 2017.

Fagerstrom, who has played 1,373 minutes in 16 starts, was third for the Bobcats this season with three goals and third in scoring with seven points. Fagerstrom scored twice in a win against Valdosta State University and added another in a victory against Middle Georgia State University. Fagerstrom anchored the backfield for GCSU, which registered seven shutouts in 2025. The Bobcats allowed the fourth-fewest number of goals in the Peach Belt with 15 and allowed just 0.88 goals per match, also fourth. 

Duque, a 5-5 graduate student midfielder from Davie, Florida, started all 17 matches and played 1,331 minutes as a defensive midfielder for the Bobcats. She had one assist for GCSU against Flagler College this season, and she helped the Bobcats register seven shutouts so far this season. GCSU has allowed the fourth-fewest number of goals in the Peach Belt with 15 and allowed just 0.88 goals per match, also fourth. 

Mason, a 5-10 senior forward from Atlanta, Georgia, has played 1,118 minutes in 17 matches started for GCSU. Mason leads the Bobcats in goals (4), assists (4) and points (12) in 2025. She scored twice, including the game winner, against Middle Georgia State University. Mason also added a goal and an assist in wins over Valdosta State and Clayton State University and contributed an assist in a win over the University of South Carolina-Aiken.
