GCSU DPS December Safety Tips

GCSU DPS December Safety Tips

December Safety Tips from GCSU DPS!

As we wrap up the semester, here are a few safety reminders to help you finish strong and head into the holidays with confidence:

  • Watch the weather! Cold temps and slick conditions can pop up fast. Stay alert, dress warm, and give yourself extra time getting around campus.
  • Secure your space before break. Lock doors and windows, unplug electronics, take out the trash, and store valuables out of sight before heading home.
  • Travel safely! Whether you're driving or flying, plan, avoid distractions, and let someone know your travel plans. We want you to arrive safely.
  • Keep belongings protected. Staying on campus? Lock your doors, secure your vehicle, and report anything suspicious; DPS is here 24/7.

Good luck with finals! Take breaks, stay hydrated, and move around in well-lit areas if you’re studying late. Call DPS anytime for a safety escort.

From all of us at GCSU DPS, we wish you a Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays and a wonderful New Year!

We’re proud to serve this community and wish you all the best as 2026 approaches.
