GCSU DPS to conduct training on campus over holiday break
During the break, Georgia College & State University's Department of Public Safety will continue operating 24/7, while we conduct some much-needed and critically important training with our local law enforcement partners.
On Jan. 6 and 8, the GCSU DPS — along with our partners from the Milledgeville Police Department, Baldwin County Sheriff’s Office and Georgia Bureau of Investigation — will conduct training including Active Shooter Training on campus. Classroom 272 in the College of Arts & Sciences building will be used as our staging and instructional area with additional classrooms and first-floor hallways utilized for movement drills and exercises.
This training is for law enforcement personnel only and should result in minimal inconvenience to anyone on campus during this time. If you have any questions, comments or concerns, please feel free to contact me. I am happy to assist in any way I can.
Thank you,
Wes Hardin
