Last Call: Faculty Workshop on AI and Assignment and Assessment Design

Join your peers this Friday for a collaborative session on navigating the challenges and opportunities of AI in the classroom, facilitated by Drs. Cynthia Alby, Steve Elliott-Gower and Cara Smith.

  • What: Designing and Assessing Students' Projects in the Age of AI: Integrating AI into the Flipped Classroom
  • When: Friday, Jan. 9 | 9:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.

During this session, we will explore:

  • Redesigning Projects: Creating assignments that leverage AI as a tool rather than a shortcut.
  • Assessment in the AI Era: Developing rubrics and other authentic assessments that prioritize process and critical thinking.
  • The Flipped Classroom Model: Using AI to enhance pre-class preparation and maximize active learning during face-to-face time.
