Please remember to update your mobile devices to the latest software

Keeping your mobile device software up to date is one of the easiest and most important ways to protect your personal information and our campus systems.

Software updates don’t just add new features. They also include critical security patches that protect your device from vulnerabilities, bugs and potential cyber threats. Devices running outdated software are more likely to experience security issues, app problems, and performance slowdowns.

Why updating matters:

  • 🔒 Protects your personal and campus data
  • 🛠 Fixes security vulnerabilities and bugs
  • ⚡ Improves performance and reliability
  • 📱 Ensures compatibility with apps and campus services

Updating your iPhone or Android only takes a few minutes. To make it easy, we’ve included images below with step-by-step instructions on how to check for and install the latest software updates.

We strongly encourage everyone to enable automatic updates or regularly check for updates to keep your device secure and running smoothly.

Thank you for helping keep our campus community safe and secure.

First, open the Settings app on your mobile device. Then, tap 'Software Update' or 'Update Tonight' to continue.

After selecting Software Update, tap 'Update Now' to install the latest version of software. To turn on automatic updates, select 'Automatic Updates' and switch it to 'On'.
