High-Impact Practices Summer Institute - 2026
High-Impact Practices Summer Institute - 2026
The High-Impact Practices (HIPs) Summer Institute - 2026 returns for its seventh year - and we’re building on the momentum. This opportunity is open to Georgia College & State University instructors who are ready to intentionally integrate transformative experiences into their courses and elevate student learning in meaningful ways.
Each year, the Institute evolves based on participant feedback and emerging best practices. The 2026 iteration is designed for expansion and includes plans to further broaden the Institute’s scope and impact.
In addition to completing structured deliverables throughout the summer, the Institute includes four session engagements: in-person meetings on May 19 (10 a.m.– 2 p.m., Magnolia Ballroom) and Aug. 4 (12:30–2:30 p.m., Peabody Auditorium) and two mentor-guided virtual sessions between May and July.
Participants who complete the Institute will receive $600 in professional development funds and - more importantly - will leave with a fully designed, vetted implementation plan ready for execution.
If you are ready to strengthen engagement, deepen learning and design with intention, we invite you to join us.
Submit your proposal by April 24. Acceptance notifications will be sent by May 1.
